Local painter, Mark VanderVinne, will host Critique Night at the Chesterton Art Center on Wednesday, February 5 at 7:30. Guests are welcome to show up, with no prior registration required. All ability levels and artistic styles are encouraged to attend. While Mark is a painter, he will be able to advise artists in other mediums as well.
The next session of Life Drawing Open Studio will be held on Wednesday, February 5 from 6-9 p.m. at the Chesterton Art Center. Fully clothed models will be used for each session.
The Chesterton Art Center will be hosting the February Cookies and Canvas on Friday, February 7. Children ages 3-7 can attend from 5-6:30, and ages 8 & up can attend from 7-8:30
Sarah Fantuzzo will be teaching a series of drawing workshops titled, "Drawing Toolbox" at the Chesterton Art Center. In this series, she will touch on a different topic once a month, providing techniques and tips for how to effectively improve a student's drawing skills.

The Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR) will start accepting tax filings for the 2020 individual income tax season on Monday, Jan. 27, 2020. Customers will have until April 15, 2020, to file their tax returns and pay any taxes owed.
Customers can file their individual taxes online through a certified vendor, with a tax professional or by mailing in paper forms and documentation. If individuals have questions, they are encouraged to call DOR Customer Service at 317-232-2240, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., EST or visit a district office location.
The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) announced today the awarding of 11 grants totaling $225,000 to Indiana nonprofit arts organizations and cultural programming providers during the first round of grants for fiscal year 2020.
