Chicago Fire FC today announced that the Club has loaned goalkeeper Bryan Dowd to FC Tulsa for the 2025 season. FC Tulsa competes in the USL Championship and is based in Tulsa, Okla.

Chicago Fire FC and Chicago Stars FC are teaming up to host a doubleheader at historic Soldier Field on Saturday, Jun. 14. The Chicago Stars will kick the day off by taking on Seattle Reign FC at 4:00 p.m. CT, followed by the Fire’s match versus Nashville SC at 7:30 p.m. CT.

Manager Jamie Bennett and the Schaumburg Boomers are excited to announce the signing of Outfielder Bren Spillane. The former Major League Baseball 3rd round draft pick and Wheeling native brings a middle of the order presence with Frontier League experience to Wintrust Field this summer.

Theatre at the Center was rocking on February 22nd, with Heartless bringing the heavy metal sound of Heart to the stage.  The high energy concert featured Lynn Lupo as Heart’s lead singer, Ann Wilson, Julie Bittner as Heart’s rhythm guitarist and back-up vocalist, Nancy Wilson.

**** Highly Recommended  I didn’t know anything about Harold Pinter’s play, "Betrayal," before I saw the Goodman’s revival recently.  A friend had mentioned that there was a small controversy over Director Susan V. Booth’s decision to cast older actors – over twenty-somethings – but I never even thought about age as I was drawn into the human drama unfolding on that stage.  That a character could maintain that very British stiff upper lip, even while receiving devastating news delivered in the calmest of tones, was a revelation. Kudos to Director Susan V. Bishop Noll Institute has announced its Graduates with Distinction for the class of 2025. These top academic seniors all earned a 4.0 or above GPA, grades that also determine valedictorian and salutatorian.

The Gary Community School Corporation (GCSC) welcomed Alvin Richards as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). His appointment completes the leadership team roster of the school district that is now out of state control and forging ahead.

One set, two actors and three words describe “I and You”.  It was amazing! Better yet…it’s a masterpiece.  And Citadel Theatre gets a big pat on the back for playing it.
