Fountain County - At approximately 6:00 PM this evening (9/21/2020), the Indiana State Police responded to a crash involving five vehicles on State Road 28 near County Road 725E, which is approximately 2 miles west of the Tippecanoe County line.
Sponsored by the African American Arts Alliance (AAAA) and in celebration of Black Arts Month this October, several Black theaters of Chicago will partner for a united audition for Black theater artists. The free, three-day event will include a series of resource-sharing panels and workshops by casting directors, agents and other theater professionals, before giving artists the opportunity to audition for Black theaters and directors. Participating theaters include: Black Ensemble Theater, Congo Square Theatre, eta Creative Arts Foundation, Pegasus Theatre, Lifeline Theatre, Perceptions Theatre and Definition Theatre.
The Chicago Reader has launched the Chicago Reader Book Club. The Reader has curated a list of 12 books written by a diverse cohort of female-identifying Chicago authors—including Mikki Kendall, Eve Ewing, Rebecca Makkai, and Nnedi Okorafor—which will be read with Book Club members each month. At the end of each month, members will be invited to join a discussion with the author in conversation with a Reader ambassador.

The Chesterton Art Center is offering monthly children's art classes taught by Jennifer Aitchison throughout the school year. The Art Center will be zooming live virtual classes in October. (Onsite classes may be added later when it is safe to do so.)
