TEMPEL LIPIZZANS’ WHITE STALLIONS CELEBRATE 60TH ANNIVERSARY WITH RETURN OF RENOWNED CLASSICAL DRESSAGE PERFORMANCES

The Tempel Lipizzans proudly celebrate their 60th anniversary as the world’s largest, privately owned herd of Lipizzan horses known for exquisite performances of equestrian dressage – a live, 90-minute program of synchronized movements, athleticism, and harmony between horse and rider set to classical music. The 2018 Tempel Lipizzans’ summer season kicks-off on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 17 at 1:00 p.m. with performances continuing through September 2 on select Sundays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at Tempel Farms in Old Mill Creek, IL, just north of Chicago.

Navy Pier, Chicago’s iconic, year-round lakefront destination, will debut its newly renovated Fifth Third Bank Family Pavilion this Memorial Day weekend. A key element of the Pier’s ongoing Centennial Vision redevelopment, the Pavilion, which stretches more than 200,000 square feet from the west main entrance of the Pier to WBEZ, is now a hub of more than 50 Chicago-centric experiences that showcase and represent the city’s best offerings in dining, entertainment, retail and more.

The lineup will include the cabaret events OUT AND PROUD by Melissa Young, and Alan Palmer’s FABULOUS DIVAS OF HOLLYWOOD; Pride Films and Plays’ semi-annual WEFEST celebration of Chicago’s queer female, non-binary and trans artists., the final PRIDE FILM FESTIVAL of the ’17-18 season and an improv comedy show by CARDS AGAINST HUMANITY.

Navy Pier, Chicago’s year-round lakefront destination, is kicking off a new season of free arts and cultural programs with the return of the popular Aon Summer Fireworks and Live on the Lake! music series at the Miller Lite Beer Garden, plus a new live DJ music series, Wave Wall Wax, starting Memorial Day weekend. These programs launch a 15-week arts and cultural extravaganza at the Pier, complete with top local talent and world-renowned works in cinema, dance, music, public art, theater and more – all of which serve as the perfect complement to the many dining, retail and leisure experiences across the Pier.

Region’s Top Cover Bands Amp Up for ‘Party by the Pond’ at Chicago Premium Outlets

Chicago Premium Outlets today announced the return of its popular “Party by the Pond” concert series, which will kick off on Friday, June 15, with Chicago’s premier Beatles tribute band, American English. Also slated to appear at the center’s picturesque feature pond this summer are ultimate ’90s party band, Run Forrest Run (July 20) and ’80s-inspired standouts, 16 Candles (August 17).

Rosemont’s Parkway Bank Park entertainment district (5501 Park Place, Rosemont) will celebrate the summer season with the return of the “Rockin’ in the Park” free summer concert series. The weekly series is scheduled to begin Sunday, May 27 with a special Memorial Day cookout and live concert event beginning at 3 p.m. Free concerts will continue on Thursday evenings from May 31 through August 30, featuring music by classic cover bands, food and beverage tents on the park’s great lawn and a musical fireworks display after every show.
