Sing and Dance Along to Movies with Music at Navy Pier’s 2nd Annual Water Flicks: Free 10-week film series

Navy Pier, Chicago’s iconic year-round destination, has teamed up with Chicago International Film Festival and Broadway in Chicago to present the 2nd annual Water Flicks, a free, 10-week movie series offered at the Lake Stage in Polk Bros Park, against the backdrop of serene Lake Michigan at sunset. Every Monday from June 18 through August 20, the Pier will show a different music-themed movie, starting at 7 p.m. As part of this year’s “sing-along summer” theme, guests are encouraged to belt out and bust a move to the famous tunes featured within the flicks. Free popcorn will be available to guests on a first-come-first-served basis, courtesy of Navy Pier IMAX at AMC.

CRosemont, Ill. ̶ Fashion Outlets of Chicago is proud to announce that both Club Monaco and Columbia Sportswear Company are opening their newest outlet locations at the shopping center. Club Monaco opened its first Midwest outlet at Fashion Outlets of Chicago Wednesday, May 16. Columbia Sportswear will open its newest outlet location Friday, June 29. This is the first Club Monaco outlet in the Midwest to-date, and only the third in all of North America.

McAninch Arts Center, located at 425 Fawell Blvd. on the campus of College of DuPage (COD), presents the 2018 Lakeside Pavilion Free Outdoor Summer Series. Programming runs July 12-Aug.10 and includes a Thursday evening Family Movie Series, the Thursday evening WDCB Live Jazz Concert Series and a Friday evening Pop Music Series. One of the highlights of the Friday evening series promises to be the July 20 New Philharmonic pops concert, which will be simulcast on Facebook Live for the second year in a row.

Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce, the sole service provider of Special Service Area (SSA) #33, announces a new series of programs for its Wicker Park Farmers Market every Sunday through October 28, from 8 a.m.-2p.m. at 1425 N. Damen Avenue. The Cabaret Room at Drury Lane Theatre announces The Summer Series featuring some of Chicago’s top cabaret artists in unforgettable limited engagements at Drury Lane’s intimate Cabaret Room. The Summer Series will include performances by Chicago's Cabaret Queen Denise Tomasello (August 3 and 4), Beckie Menzie and Tom Michael (August 17 and 18), and Joan Curto (August 24 and 25). Performances will be held on Friday and Saturday evenings in the Cabaret Room at Drury Lane Theatre located at 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace.
