The Gary Chamber of Commerce will host World Civility Day 5 on Thursday, July 8, 2021.
World Civility Day has expanded its list of notable leaders to be included in spreading the word - Civility will be the buzz word in Indiana.
Joining a list of participants that include Democratic Congressman Frank Mrvan and GOP Senator Todd Young (virtually), will be GOP Senator Mike Braun (virtually) and Karrah Herring, Chief Equity, Inclusion & Opportunity Official for the State of Indiana. Karrah will be in attendance representing Governor Eric Holcomb and will be making a presentation on his behalf.
This historical unification of leadership throughout the state of Indiana is an event you will not want to miss. Please come out and help us demonstrate to the world that Community Civility Counts.
A full day of activity includes our Civility themed workshops to be held at the beautiful new Dean and Barbara White Community Center, Merrillville, Indiana, starting at 9:30 a.m., limited slots are available on a first come first served basis. Rounding out the day will be dinner and awards at the Avalon Manor Banquets in Merrillville, Indiana.
