World Civility Day 2022

April 27, 2022 at the Dean and Barbara White Community Center (daytime) and Avalon Manor in Merrillville (evening awards dinner).

Join us for the only event of its kind in the country. Community Civility Counts will hold its 6th annual World Civility Day events on Wednesday, April 27, 2022. A full-day of civility-themed activities and an awards dinner in the evening will be held at the Dean and Barbara White Community Center and Avalon Manor in Merrillville.

Community Civility Counts started as an initiative of the Gary Chamber of Commerce Public Policy Committee and it has expanded to include many partners both locally and nationally. It was launched in 2015 at a press conference held in the Gary Chamber board room.

All five of the World Civility Day events, have sold out with at least 300 people from Indiana, Illinois and nine other states and 15 countries. Some of the most notable past keynote speakers have been: Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers, iChange Nations, Dr. Carolyn Lukensmeyer, Executive Director of the National Institute for Civil Discourse, U.S. Congressman Frank J. Mrvan, Senator Todd Young, Senator Mike Braun, and Karrah Herring Chief Equity, Inclusion & Opportunity Official for the State of Indiana at the evening awards ceremony.

World Civility Day on April 27, 2022 will include a kickoff, workshops and lunch at the Dean and Barbara White Community Center. Workshop themes will include civility in our day to day interactions, the classroom and workplace civility. The evening dinner, held at the Avalon Manor in Merrillville, will include our featured keynote speaker and the annual Community Civility Counts awards.

$10,000 -- Included in top-of-line promotion and signage. Includes Signature Sponsor Award. Exclusive photo opportunity and event photos. Welcome to address dinner audience at Avalon Manor. Welcome to host a discussion or workshop at the Dean and Barbara White Community Center. Welcome to have vendor table at both venues. Includes 10 tickets for the afternoon and two tables (20 tickets) for the dinner.

$5,000 -- Included in promotion and signage. Welcome to address dinner audience at Avalon Manor. Welcome to host a discussion or workshop at the Dean and Barbara Community Center. Welcome to have vendor table at both venues. Includes 10 tickets for the afternoon and one table (10 tickets) for the dinner.

$2,500 – Included in promotion and signage. Welcome to address dinner audience at Avalon Manor. Welcome to host a discussion or workshop at the Dean and Barbara White Community Center. Welcome to have vendor table at both venues. Includes 6 tickets for the afternoon and 6 tickets for the dinner.

$1,000 – Secondary sponsor of World Civility Day. Included in promotion and signage. Welcome to host a discussion or workshop at the Dean and Barbara White Community Center. Welcome to have a vendor table at both venues. Includes 2 tickets for the afternoon and 4 tickets for the dinner.

Table sponsor, Early Bird $650: Tickets are $70 each for the dinner and a table of 10 is $700.

VIP ticket, $90: Full-day access for an individual, including dinner.

Dinner ticket, $70 - Workshops ticket, $30 per adult, $15 per student.
