I really enjoyed Wonderlove: The Stevie Wonder Experience, a recent concert at Theatre at the Center. It was a real dance-in-your-seat experience – and quite a few people were actually on their feet and dancing!

Wonderlove is a true Stevie Wonder Experience. It’s not just Stevie Wonder’s music, it’s Willie Woodard, the talented keyboard and harmonica player who plays Stevie Wonder, sunglasses and all. It’s the glamorous lady who leads Stevie on and off stage. It’s the female vocalists, La La Rodriguez and Melissa Monique, who both have fabulous voices. Finally, it’s the band, Don Gibson (Keys), Glover Washington (Drums), Reggie Harrington (Bass) and Kyle Teegan (Guitar), which is terrific!

The show featured Stevie Wonder hits like Happy Birthday, Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours, If You Really Love Me, For Once in My Life, Just Called to Say I Love You, My Cherie Amour, You Are the Sunshine of My Life, Isn’t She Lovely and of course, Superstition.
