WNDR Museum , Chicago’s original immersive art and technology experience, today announced a partnership with Chicago street artist Clue for an exclusive merchandise collaboration, debuting at WNDR Museum’s Chicago, Boston and San Diego locations. The Spring collection, “Life Grows Here,” features a range of items with Clue’s signature character and designs inspired by the spring season. The collaboration will launch Sunday, May 19 with a special event at WNDR Museum’s Chicago location (1130 W. Monroe St.) from 12 – 3 p.m.
During the May 19 launch event, Chicagoans are invited to visit WNDR Museum’s on-site merchandise store, “The WNDR Shop,” and enjoy a variety of special free activations including autographs and meet-and-greets with Clue and a live set from DJ Eva María. Pilsen-based clothing production company, Jus Studios, will also be on-site providing free screen-printing of Clue’s designs on purchased items or items that guests bring in to upcycle. The event will also offer special surprise and delight giveaways from WNDR Museum.

Clue’s “Life Grows Here” collection places his signature character between two other characters to symbolize friendship and outdoor get-togethers on spring and summer nights in the city. The surroundings in the design are made up of elements found in everyday life, from houses in the back that represent home, to fencing that represents overcoming struggles together. The green alien character with sharp ears and question mark eyes is used across Clue’s work to resemble the many questions that arose when observing the struggles within his community at an early age.
“I'm excited to work with WNDR Museum on this collection because of our shared values surrounding the inspiration for the line’s designs. When the idea of a spring collection was brought to me, “Life Grows Here” was the first thing that popped into my head,” said artist Emmanuel Gomez, known as Clue. “When I think of spring I think of flowers blooming, friendships nurturing, and love growing. We don’t realize that life is made through the moments we spend together as part of a community, which conceptualized this design.”
As WNDR Museum encourages guests to ignite their curiosity, Clue created the collection to allow viewers to let their minds wander through the design and develop their own interpretations. The Clue merchandise collaboration will be available at The WNDR Shop of all three WNDR Museum locations and select items will be available online at WNDRmuseum.com. The collection includes:
- WNDR x CLUE Tee ($40)
- WNDR x CLUE Tote ($25)
- WNDR x CLUE Hat ($30)
- WNDR x CLUE Water Bottle ($45)
- WNDR x CLUE Sticker ($4)
Entry to the May 19 special event in the WNDR Shop is free. Tickets to WNDR Museum are sold separately starting at $22 and can be purchased on the website in advance at WNDRmuseum.com. About Clue
Emmanuel Gomez, also known as Clue, is a Mexican American artist born and raised in the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago. Using his art as a form of communication and expression, under his art alias he portrays positive messages and relives his experiences of growing up in Little Village through his art.
Clue’s signature character, a green alien with sharp ears and the main feature being its question mark for eyes, is constantly used across his work, often put in environments which tell stories of his shared lived experience in Little Village through the lens of community members and personal experience growing up. The hope with this artwork is to bring light to struggles and systemic barriers people face in his community and the work needed to uplift people who come across his work. He uses question mark eyes to resemble the many questions that arose when observing the struggles within his community at an early age.
