WNDR Museum, Chicago’s original immersive art and technology experience, will present an exclusive experience with R&B Star, Alex Vaughn, on Friday, March 9. Beginning at 8 p.m., guests are invited to join Alex for the live performance debut of her new, previously unreleased single “IYKYK,” and an artist talk with Power92 radio host, Bree Specific, to discuss the inspiration behind her latest album. Following the performance, guests are welcome to enjoy a live set from Chicago favorite, DJ NoSike, cocktails and access to the museum until 11 p.m.
Amid touring her latest album “Hurtbook,” which embraces the messiness of being human, Vaugn will perform in an intimate setting at WNDR Museum’s recently opened second-floor lounge. Alex will then be joined by Bree Specific, fan-favorite on-air personality at Power92, to discuss the inspiration behind the honest series of songs featured on the album. Meet and Greet opportunities are available for the first 25 guests who purchase VIP tickets for the special event.
Guests are invited to stay after the song debut and artist talk to explore the more than 20 interactive installations WNDR has to offer, including the newly unveiled “Battle Royale” by celebrated Chicago artist Nikko Washington, which captures monumental moments within the world of boxing through visual and physical artworks. DJ NoSike will spin from until 11 p.m. and alcohol will be available for purchase by guests 21+.
Open seven days a week, WNDR Museum was recently voted one of the top five immersive art experiences in the country by USA Today’s 2022 Reader Poll. Located in Chicago’s West Loop, WNDR disrupts and redefines the traditional museum experience by inviting guests to fully engage with the artworks and multi-sensory installations, ultimately becoming artists themselves.
