South Shore Arts announces registration for its 2022 winter session of art classes.  In-person visual arts classes will begin the week of January 10, 2022 and will include a variety of senior, adult, and youth art classes, such as multi-level ceramics, figure drawing, Japanese Manga illustration for teens, printmaking, and more. Classes and workshops will be held at South Shore Arts’ Munster facility, in fully equipped art studios located on the lower level of the Center for Visual & Performing Arts, at 1040 Ridge Road.

This winter artists of all ages and abilities are invited to partake in three new and in-person visual arts mini-sessions. Workshops will include a Valentine’s Day print and card-making night for adults and couples, a surrealist still-life drawing studio for teens, and a three-part mini-session for kids who want to learn how to hand sew their own plushies. Mini-sessions are certain to appeal to all who enjoy the satisfying experience and aspects of a fine art make-and-take.

All in-person weekly classes and mini-sessions are facilitated with an abundance of

COVID-19 safety precautions for youth, adults, and seniors. Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination is required for all participants ages 5 and over. Proof of Vaccination with a valid vaccination card is the only way to guarantee class space. Participants must have received and completed the vaccine at least two weeks prior to the first day of all in-person classes.
