
Navy Pier proudly announces its 2026 Independence Day fireworks display will take place on Saturday, July 4. In addition, the “People’s Pier” is nominated for “Best Place to See Fireworks,” in USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Travel Awards for the fourth consecutive year. The nomination comes after Navy Pier was crowned the category winner by public voting in 2023, 2024 and 2025. The contest allows voters four weeks to choose their top selections here.
Chicago’s favorite sky spectacle, produced by Navy Pier and set to popular and special occasion soundtracks, take place every Wednesday at 9 PM and Saturdays at 10 PM Memorial Day through Labor Day, with a remarkable display celebrating America 250 on Saturday, July 4, 2026.
Voting begins today, Monday, April 13 at 11 AM CST. An individual can vote once a day throughout the run of the contest which ends on Monday, May 11. Winners will be announced on Wednesday, May 20.
