After winning double platinum from the 2021 SIP Awards, we are even more excited to share our latest small-batch collaboration - with spirit. Let it be said that virtue is knowledge, but whiskey is wisdom, and we are feeling super smart about layering the tart apple finish of Virtue Cider barrels to this very limited batch of CWW.
The whiskey is a pale auburn in color with tannic and leather notes on the nose with hints of freshly pressed apples. Cinnamon and nutmeg spices jump out at the first taste, with a full mouthfeel. Tart Caramel Apple rounds out the whiskey with a welcome dash of honey on the finish. This batch was aged 3 years in charred new American white oak barrels and finished in Virtue Cider barrels for 6 months.
While at a wassailing party, to ward off evil spirits in the Virtue apple orchards, Tom mused, “It hit me like an apple on the head, that the Virtue Cider barrels combined with our award-winning Corsets, Whips & Whiskey would create a brilliant combination of wicked good taste.”
