The nonprofit Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce (WPBCC) presents a new addition to the neighborhood’s plentiful street art: a vibrant public mural, Untitled, by Chicago artist Frank Quintero at 1440 N. Ashland. This mural was commissioned by Wicker Park Bucktown Special Service Area #33 as part of its Wicker Park Bucktown Mural Initiative.
Quintero is known for his colorful street art, murals, paintings and digital art. This new work is his tallest solo wall to date, and features Quintero’s signature character “Pancho.”

Frank Quintero (b.1980) is a Chicago-based visual artist working with paint and mixed media. His current work is focused on abstraction, mural painting, and illustration. Bringing a distinct multi-disciplinary approach to his art, Quintero’s work explores interests in defining personal and public space, constructing the temporary and permanent, and how people interact and relate to these concepts. He was the co-founder and designer of Novem Studios, a creative start-up, after which he dedicated more time to traveling and living in South America. He holds a BFA in Studio, focusing on Painting and Drawing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2017) and was awarded the Presidential Scholarship. Quintero continues to produce work that explores ways of taking his art between the studio and the streets.
The Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce serves as a cornerstone of the Wicker Park and Bucktown commercial districts, advancing the financial goals of neighborhood businesses through the creation of a dynamic economic climate, increasing the neighborhood's visibility and viability, and encouraging profitable relationships within the community.
