Valparaiso Creative Council welcomes FOUR local artists for this MURAL event taking over multiple locations in downtown Valparaiso!
Join us at City Hall, 166 Lincolnway, from 9a - 1p on Saturday, August 24th for this exciting kick-off! This free event encourages Valpo residents and visitors (of all ages) to watch artists paint live murals throughout downtown. Newly added is the collaborative "Valpo Kids Create" mural, made possible by Everwise, where kids can register to add their mark to this public masterpiece!

Come join us August 24th and receive a Mural Map, complimentary Empty TAG Can (first 500 attendees only), purchase your own graffiti coloring book; some new VCC merch; and enjoy featured food trucks, music, performers, and mural-related activities!

- Ivy Boutique, 204 Jefferson St, - to be painted by Mitchell Schuring
- Birdie's Cafe, 218 E Lincolnway- to be painted by Gabriel Barajas
- Valpo Kids Create Mural, 166 Lincolnway - to be facilitated by Shannon Barajas at City Hall
This one-day kick off jumpstarts the week-long mural festival! Each masterpiece will be completed by August 31st and added to our downtown map as NEW artistic destinations to Valpo and Instagram-worthy backdrops!
Attendees will adventure to 8 downtown locations: including our 4 new murals, 3 existing murals, as well as our current graffiti artist exhibit. Each location will engage attendees in memorable activities and creative interactions . Arrive anytime between 9a - 12p at the east outdoor atrium at City Hall where the festivities will begin. VCC will provide a giveaway at 1p at City Hall as a celebratory finale to this EPIC day!
