Northwest Indiana- This morning, two troopers assigned to the Lowell Post were recognized for their extraordinary efforts removing impaired drivers from Indiana roadways by the Indiana chapter of MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving).  Troopers Dennis Griffin and Israel Rosillo each recorded 110 “Operating While Intoxicated” arrests in 2020.  Both troopers were classmates and graduates of the 78th Indiana State Police Recruit Academy in 2018.  First Sergeant Terrance Weems, Assistant Commander of the Lowell Post, commented, “These two troopers are highly motivated and take great pride in keeping their communities safe.  These awards are much deserved for the long hours and dedication they put forth this past year.”
