
Tippecanoe County, IN – On April 3, 2025, just after 9:30 p.m., Trooper Farmer attempted to stop a 2021 Toyota Camry for traveling in excess of 100 mph in a posted 65-mph zone on Interstate 65 near the 169-mile marker. Trooper Farmer observed the vehicle passing another car on the right shoulder while traveling at this excessive speed.
As Trooper Farmer was attempting to catch up to the vehicle, the driver turned off the headlights and taillights and exited I-65 onto State Road 38. The Camry continued westbound before coming to a stop just east of Veterans Memorial Parkway. Trooper Farmer then took the driver, identified as Colin Kidwell, 19, of West Lafayette, into custody without further incident. Kidwell was transported to the Tippecanoe County Jail.

- Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle – Level 6 Felony
- Aggressive Driving – Class A Misdemeanor
- Reckless Driving – Class C Misdemeanor
