The Towle Theater is pleased to present their 3rd show of their 2025 Season, Superhero. This production is Directed by TJ Bird, with Music Direction by John Phillips. Funding provided by a grant from the Legacy Foundation Lake County Community Sponsorship fund.
Superhero tells the story of a fractured family—teenager Simon and his mother Charlotte—grappling with loss, isolation, and the struggle to reconnect. When Simon begins to suspect that their mysterious neighbor might actually be a real-life superhero, he sets out to uncover the truth, blurring the lines between fantasy and reality. A poignant exploration of grief, hope, and the extraordinary powers we find in everyday people, Superhero combines an emotionally rich score with a compelling narrative that soars with heart and humanity.
Making their Towle debuts are Katherine Carl ( Orland Hills, IL) Olivia Daily-Short (Evanston, IL), Joey Harbert (Chicago, IL), Grayson Kamel ( Chicago, IL), Denise Smolarek (Chicago, IL) and Dean Zaverdas Jr (Downers Grove, IL). Returning to the Towle are Tony Calkins (Chicago, IL ), and Lauren Reece (Chicago, IL).
Superhero runs July 18th - 20th, & July 25th - 27th. Friday performances are at 7:30pm, and Saturdays & Sundays are at 2pm. The box office opens 1 hour prior to performance time. Tickets are $24 in advance and $28 at the door. Reservations must be paid for in advance. They are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Group rates are available. There is no late seating. Please arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to curtain. If you arrive after curtain, you will not be seated until intermission.
The Towle Theater is located in beautiful downtown Hammond at 5205 Hohman Avenue. Due to major renovations happening in Downtown Hammond, parking is available right in front of the building on Hohman Avenue, street parking along Fayette street, as well as the gravel lot located on Sibley.
