As the longtime duo - Kevin Bellamy, Director of Administration and Jeff Casey, managing Director, announce their retirement at the end of 2024, the Towle Theater would like to welcome their new Executive Director, Emily Nelson. Emily will be taking the helm as Jeff Casey and Kevin Bellamy concentrate solely on the artistic aspects at the Towle Theater throughout its 21st Season. The Towle Board of Directors is thrilled to have such an experienced leader joining the team.
Emily is an experienced actor, director, and teaching artist. She studied acting at Columbia College Chicago and spent years training at the Goodman Theatre where she began her career as a teaching artist. Emily has spent most of her time working for the non-for-profit, The Beverly Arts Center. There she held the title of Associate Artistic Director and streamlined a successful Youth Theatre Program.
Outgoing Managing Director, Jeff Casey said “We launched a search late last year and among all the interested candidates, Emily was far and away our top choice. The board acted swiftly, and Emily was able to begin her Towle journey on February 1”. “Kevin and I couldn’t be happier with such an accomplished artist taking over the day-to-day operations at the Towle”.
