Callbacks and local auditions are at the Towle Theater-5205 Hohman Avenue, Hammond on Sunday, June 13 at 2:30pm.  No appointments required for local auditions. They are looking for strong male & female singers & actors 21 years old and up. All ethnicities and types strongly encouraged to audition, as there are no character restrictions.  Visit www.towletheater.org for character descriptions.

To ensure a creative work environment that’s safe and void of stress and anxiety associated with the COVID pandemic, you must be fully vaccinated to audition.  Masks, properly worn, are required in all areas of Theater Wit and the Towle Theater except when auditioning.

Please prepare 32 bars of a 1960’s Broadway or Pop Song or a song that evokes that period not from the show.  Have a contrasting piece ready if asked.  Provide sheet music in the correct key.  No acapella or taped accompaniment.  You may be asked to sing from the score and/or read from the script.  All roles in the shows will be paid.

Night Tide, a new musical inspired by the 1961 mystery-thriller B movie, tells the kitschy and compelling tale of Johnny Drake, a lonely Naval sailor. As he enjoys his first shore leave exploring the boardwalks, tiki bars, and beach parties of a spooky seaside town, Johnny meets Mora, a seductive and mysterious young woman who works in the sideshow as a mermaid. Johnny immediately becomes smitten with Mora, but soon discovers that she may in fact be a real siren of the sea, and she may have lured her previous boyfriends to their watery graves...

Rehearsals will begin in July and performances are September 17-19, 24-26, 30, October 1-3, 2021. For more information call 219-937-8780 or visit www.towletheater.org.
