The Munster Police Department would like to thank the many residents who provided donations to our officers on National Donut Day this past Friday, June 3rd at both of the Munster Dunkin Donuts locations.
Each year, both of their stores invite our officers to collect donations for various programs and we were very thankful to everyone who stopped by to visit with our officers and K-9’s that morning. Donations provided that morning will help to benefit the Munster Police Department’s K-9 Unit, D.A.R.E. Program, and Explorers Program which are run through donations from the public.
Again, we appreciate the great support that we received from our town’s residents and other surrounding community members who stopped by that morning, and also appreciate Dunkin Donuts for allowing us to collect the donations in front of their stores.
If you missed our K-9’s, please note that our next Coffee & Donuts with a Cop Event will be held on Saturday, July 9th from 8am to 10am at Munster Donut (8314 Calumet Avenue) and will include police officers, a patrol vehicle display, our K-9 Unit, and a free raffle basket drawing that morning. We hope to see you there!
