The Munster Police Department would like to thank everyone who either participated in, volunteered their time during, or sponsored our first annual Munster K-9 Golf & Family Outing Saturday, July 8th at Centennial Park. We would also like to thank Centennial Park Golf Course and the Munster Parks & Recreation for allowing us to hold our event at their facilities.
The event included a golf outing (which was won by participant Michael Clark), live music featuring Eli Hernandez and Glass Pack Rebels, kids games, booth participants, food vendors, a dunk tank featuring several Eads Elementary School teachers who volunteered their time (thank you to Mrs. Brandt and Mrs. Torabi), and of course our K-9’s Vader, Lucy, and Skye. All of the proceeds helped to fund the training and care of our department’s three police dogs who help to serve our community in a variety of positive ways.
