The Teachers Credit Union (TCU) Foundation recently awarded Opportunity Enterprises (OE) $5,000 to support the service organization’s Camp Lakeside, an inclusive summer day camp for school-aged children of all ability levels. TCU Chief Member Experience Officer Nicole Alcorn said the camp is a perfect match for the Foundation’s philanthropic priorities.

“The TCU Foundation is pleased to support Opportunity Enterprises’ Camp Lakeside,” Alcorn said. “The TCU Foundation is focused on making an impact in the communities we serve by supporting organizations that enrich lives through lifelong learning opportunities. Camp Lakeside is an ideal program to support as it provides a unique, inclusive and holistic camp experience for children of all abilities. We’re happy that we can help support this program and enhance the lives of campers in northwest Indiana.”

TCU is an ongoing partner of OE’s, having supported a number of initiatives and events over the past decade.

"We're grateful to TCU for supporting our mission. Their continued generosity is a testament to their commitment to serving the people in our community,” OE president and CEO Neil Samahon said. “This donation will play an important role in ensuring kids of all ability levels can experience summer camp alongside one another, learn from each other and develop a better understanding of diversity and inclusion."
