River North Residents Association today announced that its acclaimed annual food and entertainment festival, Taste of River North, will return for 2021 to celebrate its 20th anniversary. Taking place August 20 and 21, 2021, Taste of River North, a Duff Entertainment production, moves to a spectacular new location at River Park at theMART.
The two-day Taste of River North festival will give guests the opportunity to sample the best of the neighborhood’s food, beverage and entertainment offerings against a backdrop of Chicago’s breathtaking river and world class architecture views. This year’s entertainment features local favorite headline performers JC Brooks & the Uptown Squad and Sixteen Candles, with additional musical guests through the weekend.
“After making the difficult decision to sit 2020 out due to the pandemic, we could not be more thrilled to partner with theMART to bring the River North and greater Chicago communities together again to enjoy everything that makes the neighborhood so astounding,” said Mike Riordan, President, River North Residents Association. “From the exciting new location to incredible entertainment and, of course, our world-class food and beverage offerings from neighborhood restaurants, our 20th year is sure to be unforgettable.”
Celebrating its 20th year with a new location, Taste of River North will take place at signature sponsor theMART’s new River Park, located near the landmark building’s South Entrance. Set against the iconic façade of theMART along the Chicago River, River Park offers scenic views, adjacent lush greenery and serves as the ideal locale to bring the community back together to sample River North’s restaurants, live music and cool beverages.
“We’re incredibly excited about our new River Park at theMART and we’re honored to share it with Taste of River North attendees as the festival’s new location,” said Myron Maurer, COO at theMART. “We’re proud to be a part of the vibrant River North community and we can’t wait to welcome attendees to experience the neighborhood’s best.”
