GRADES 3-6  Playground for Young Storytellers (1pm – 4:30pm)
June 12, 14, 16
June 19, 21, 23
July 17, 19, 21

Welcome to the playground! Students will learn the basic elements of plot and character through the lens of their favorite stories, then flip them on their heads by devising stories of their own. When the camp is complete, our young storytellers will have collaborated with their classmates to create a series of original stories to perform for their parents.

GRADES 6-9   Keys to the Kingdom: Unlocking the Story (9am – 12:30pm)
June 26, 28, 30
July 10, 12, 14
July 24, 26, 28

In this workshop series, students will learn about archetypes – the universal characters and plots that appear in stories throughout history. Using these tools, they will collaborate with their peers to fashion short, original pieces of theatre to present at the conclusion of the week.

GRADES 9-12   Speaking Shakespeare: A Crash Course in the Fundamentals.  “Speak the speech, I pray you, trippingly on the tongue…”
(1pm – 4:30pm)
June 26, 28, 30
July 10, 12, 14
July 24, 26, 28

This workshop series is perfect for both young actors brand new to Shakespeare as well as those with some previous experience. Students will learn tools for making the text approachable and comprehensible and they will leave with a monologue in their back pocket suitable for college auditions.
