.• You must be 18 years old to possess or discharge fireworks, or you must be accompanied by an adult if you are under 18 years of age.
• Consumer fireworks may be discharged within the corporate limits from June 29th through July 3rd and from July 5th through July 9th in between the hours of 5:00pm and two hours after sunset, or on July 4th in between the hours of 10:00am and midnight.
• Fireworks may be used on the user’s property, the property of someone who granted permission to discharge fireworks on their property, or at a special discharge location. Residents are not allowed to discharge fireworks in our parks or in the middle of the street. Violators of this ordinance can be cited by the Munster Police Department.
Please respect the peace and safety of your neighbors and their properties by following the stipulations of the ordinance and please also make sure to clean up any debris during the accepted dates and times for usage.
