The sky is the limit for one lucky bald eagle, who just received a second chance at life in the wild when he was recently released in Laporte County after being cared for by the Humane Indiana Wildlife team since January!
Admitted to Humane Indiana Wildlife after being hit by a vehicle, this bald eagle patient was treated for a fractured scapula, femur, and dislocated toe. Although his toe needed to be amputated, the bird made an otherwise exceptional recovery and was able to return to life in the wild, being released in Laporte County, where he was originally from!
This happy ending is just one example of the lifesaving work that happens every single day at Humane Indiana Wildlife - and it's all thanks to YOU, our supporters, for making it possible. Thank YOU for helping to ensure that this bald eagle got his second chance!
