'The Outsiders" is back heating up the Cadillac Palace Theatre stage.
The production, in its return visit to The Windy City, runs to Aug. 16 at Cadillac Palace Theatre.
"The Outsiders," featuring a book by Adam Rapp with Justin Levine, is definitely musical theater at its best. With a compelling story, great music and gritty choreography, it's fascinating theater on every level.
The musical is based on the novel by S.E. Hinton as well as the popular Francis Ford Coppola film. "The Outsiders" is set in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1967 and revolves around Ponyboy Curtis, his brothers and his group of outsider friends called the Greasers and their social clashes with the group of wealthy friends in their hometown. It's a story revolving around loyalty and bonds of family and friendship, the battle between social classes, the pursuit of dreams, dealing with tragedy and desperately striving to believe there's good in the world.

The musical debuted in April, 2024. It received many accolades for eveything from its powerful story and standout score to fascinating choreography.
The cast of the touring production stars Nolan White, Bonale Fambrini, Tyler Jordan Wesley, Travis Roy Rogers, Corbin Drew Ross, Emma Hearn, Jaydon Nget, Andrew Cekala, Jackson Reagin, Jordan DeAndre Williams and others.
Among standout songs are "Run, Run Brother," "Great Expectations," "Far Away from Tulsa," "Grease Got A Hold," "Trouble" and "Stay Gold."
