South Bend Civic Theatre presents the musical Once on This Island, book and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, music by Stephen Flaherty, based upon the novel “My Love, My Love” by Rosa Guy.

This production of Once on This Island is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.mtishows.com

A joyous Caribbean fable, Once on This Island is a coming-of-age musical by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime, Seussical, Anastasia). The story follows Ti Moune, a peasant girl who falls in love with a boy from a wealthy family on the other side of their island. Joining her on her journey to tear down cultural walls are an assortment of powerful gods.

Appropriate for all ages, Once On The Island received the 2018 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical.

Directed by Dexter Overall
