
At the final Board of Directors meeting of the fiscal year, Opportunity Enterprises (OE) celebrated a moment of transition and appreciation—welcoming new members to its Board while recognizing the dedicated service of those completing their terms.
OE proudly announced the election of three new members to its Board of Directors:
- Jonathan Hildebrand, Senior Commercial Loan Officer, Horizon Bank
- Tonya Stanley, Senior Director of Real Estate Services and Administration, NiSource
- Matthew Wells, President & CEO of One Region and Chief Engagement Officer, Purdue University Northwest

In addition to welcoming new leadership, OE extended heartfelt thanks to outgoing Board members for their invaluable contributions:
- Alison Boissy, Valparaiso University student and OE Board Intern through May 2025
- Patrick Lyp, Attorney, City of Valparaiso
- John Freyek, Horizon Bank, who provided extended service as Board Chair during a pivotal transition period

Beth Casbon of Komyatte & Casbon P.C. begins her second year as OE’s Board Chair; Denise Conlon, retired from NIPSCO, as Vice Chair; Erin Hawkins of Valparaiso Community Schools as Secretary; and Shannon Lee of Shannon C. Lee & Associates P.C. as Treasurer.
