Families who did not earn enough to file taxes in the past year or who have not signed up for the Child Tax Credit still have an opportunity to receive these monthly payments: $300/month for children under age 6; or $250/month for each child age 6 to 17.
The deadline for applying for the Child Tax Credit is Monday, November 15.
Applications can be completed online in English at getctc.org/en or in Spanish at getctc.org/es. Additional information about the Child Tax Credit is also available at each of these websites.
These Child Tax Credit payments were authorized as part of the American Rescue Plan, which was signed into law by President Joe Biden on March 11, 2021.
