We're excited to open nominations for the 27th Annual Community Media Awards, to take place virtually on Thursday, May 12! Now's your chance to nominate candidates for our three awards: the Studs Terkel Award, honoring Chicago reporters, editors, producers, videographers and photographers who exemplify the values of Terkel’s journalism by taking risks in covering social issues; the Uplifting Voices Award, granted to an individual—journalist or otherwise—who elevates the voices of people in Chicago communities; and the Ripple Effect Award, given to a journalist anywhere in the U.S. whose work has had an impact in Chicago and beyond.
