A new “Welcome to Munster” sign was recently installed on the roundabout located at the intersection of Forest and Broadmoor Avenue as part of a beautification project that was organized by the Choice Community Council for that neighborhood.
The sign was installed as part of Munster’s National Night Out Project 365 for this year. The sign itself was funded in part by the Choice Community Council and through a generous donation from David & Paula Nellans who are founding members of Choice.
Several Munster Public Works employees assisted with the installation of both the sign and surrounding landscaping bricks, and Choice volunteers planted a bush, flowers, and bulbs. Solar lighting was also placed at the base of the sign to help with displaying it during the overnight hours.

We appreciate the hard work of everyone who was involved with this beautification project and look forward to working on similar projects during the coming years.
The Choice Community Council is open to any Munster resident who would like to help plan or volunteer for programs aimed at drug, crime, gang, or violence prevention in Munster.
