The Neverly Brothers took rock n’ roll fans on a musical tour of rock history featuring hits from 1955 to 1965, from Elvis to The Beatles, on Father’s Day Sunday, June 15, at Theatre at the Center.
The Neverly Brothers, consisting of Kevin Giragosian (vocals, guitar, and harmonica), Kegham Giragosian (vocals and drums), and Mike Bradburn (upright bass fiddle and background vocals) took the audience on the tour, converting the theater into a retrosonic tour bus traveling around America. The chronological song sequence along with stories behind the songs provided a fascinating educational component to the entertainment.

The first half of the concert focused on American music, while the second half jumped the “pond” featuring the British Invasion. Popular songs in the American portion of the concert included such rock n’ roll favorites as: “Great Balls of Fire,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” “All Shook Up,” “Wake Up Little Susie,” “La Bamba, and “Johnny B. Goode.”
The British Invasion portion of the concert included hits such as: “She Loves You,” “ Twist and Shout,” “You Really Got a Hold on Me,” “Love Potion #9,” and “I’m Henry the Eighth, I Am,” which had the crowd singing along and some even dancing in the aisles!
