The Munster Police Department alerts residents that NIPSCO personnel may be in your neighborhood performing inspections and testing of natural gas meters. These inspections are completed by NIPSCO contractors from GridHawk and RECONN.
During your appointment, the technician will perform a safety inspection and a visual corrosion inspection of your meter. The inspection will take approximately 10 minutes. There is no charge for their inspection.
Please be advised that and RECONN technicians carry photo identification, wear yellow high-visibility safety vests and drive marked vehicles. They may need to access your property to inspect your gas meter.
