Send us a photo of yourself dressed as a book character and we'll feature you in our virtual costume parade - and enter you in a drawing to win a $25 Albanese gift card!
To join in, send your photo to kids@lcplin.org by April 5. All ages are welcome to participate. Please keep your costume kid-friendly, though!
We'll share the parade on our social media on the last day of National Library Week (April 10).
While you're waiting for the parade, why not check out one of our other virtual events? We've got some great ones coming up, like The Science of Fire with Professor Sparks, Historic Train Travel, and Great Mammoth Mystery.

Need to Know:
Time for Spring Cleaning!
We will be cleaning up and updating our cardholder address database gradually over the course of this year.
If you moved recently but have already updated your address with us, thank you! You don't need to do anything more.
If you have moved from a Lake County Public Library district to a non-resident district in Indiana, or vice versa, you will need to re-apply for a card once we've updated your address.
If you've changed addresses within our district, or have moved from a non-resident Indiana address to another non-resident Indiana address, you don't need to do anything - your card is all set.
Remember, you can log in to your account and click "Contact Information and Preferences" any time to check your address. If you notice any mistakes, please contact us at 219-769-3541 or use our Ask a Librarian form.

From the Stacks:
Staff Recommends: The Expanse
Dyer-Schererville librarian Chris calls it one of the few shows that matches the brilliance of the books - so if you haven't read them yet, what are you waiting for?
Have You Tried Fold3?
Fold3 provides access to U.S. military records, including the stories, photos, and personal documents of the men and women who served.
Question: I'm taking my driving test soon. Does the library have anything that would help me prepare?
Answer: We offer access to Driving-Tests.org, which provides practice tests, the Indiana Driver's Handbook, and an exam simulator. It also has resources available in Spanish!
