For over 35 consecutive years the students, athletes, sponsors and coaches of Munster High School have decided to help as many children as possible during the holiday season. This year’s pandemic and our nation’s widespread economic emergency has put our nation’s families in the worst situation in our lifetimes.
Our goal is to put a smile on the face of as many children as possible by giving them a toy for the holidays. Last year, we had a great response and were able to care for more than 400 families. We currently have a list of over 500 local children in the Lake County area who probably will not receive a toy for the holidays.
We ask you to share your good fortune and holiday spirit with a needy child or needy family somewhere in Northwest Indiana. We are asking that interested parties send a new, unwrapped toy valued at $12 or more. Our largest age group of children is between two and ten years of age.
Those of you who would rather have a student shop for you may send a check made out to: Munster H.S. PTO-Toys and send it to Munster High School, c/o Leroy Marsh, 8808 Columbia, Munster, IN 46321.
Toys can also be give to any Munster High School coach, sponsor or student to donate. Toys can also be dropped off at Munster High School. Collection bins will be located between the hours of 7:10AM and 3:30PM, Monday-Friday at the main high school entrance.
All toys must be collected by no later than December 14th so that we may distribute them. Thank you for your support this year!
