The Munster Police Department would like to congratulate three Munster students for winning top prizes in the 2025 D.A.R.E. Indiana Spring Poster Contest.
This contest was open this semester to fifth grade Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) students all throughout the State of Indiana, and they were asked to create posters about what they had learned during the 10-week safety program that provides lessons about drug prevention, bullying prevention, and more.
A large number of Munster students from our five elementary schools entered this year’s contest along with fifth graders from all over the state. Our police department recently received the great news that Grayson S. (who attends Eads Elementary School) was named by D.A.R.E. Indiana as the Grand Prize Winner of this year’s contest for which he received a $100 gift card (his poster is displayed below).
In addition, Aylani T. (Elliott Elementary School) and Aiden C. (Eads Elementary School) also received gift cards as two of only five total Honorable Mention Winners in the state. Munster students took home three of the six state-wide contest prizes this year.
Congratulations again to these students on receiving these great honors and thank you to the many fifth graders who entered the poster contest this year
