The Munster Police Department and Choice Community Council are now seeking monetary donations through June 13th towards Munster’s 30TH ANNUAL National Night Out Celebration which will be on August 5th.
This fun and exciting event for all ages is held each year to promote positive police and community partnerships. Munster was ranked as the #2 National Night Out event in the United States by population category in 2024.

This year’s event will include free swimming for Munster residents, door prizes, kids games and prizes, over 100 booth participants, a closing fireworks show generously sponsored by Krazy Kaplan’s Fireworks, K-9 demonstrations, food, music, Citizenship Awards, special guests, giveaways, costumed characters, emergency vehicle displays, police helicopter landings, a community parade, and more.
There will also be a week of activities leading up to the event including safety bingo, a town-wide block party contest, a volunteer appreciation dinner, and more. We are collecting the donations now so that we can reserve our vendors and purchase supplies in advance of the event.
If you would like to provide a monetary donation, please make checks payable to the Town of Munster (memo: NNO) and either mail or drop them off to the Munster Police Department (c/o Community Policing Unit), 1001 Ridge Road, Munster, IN 46321.
Sponsors will be listed on banners that evening along with flyers distributed at the town-wide block parties the week prior to the event.
