On December 18th, the Munster Police Department received a report of an owl that had one of his wings tangled up in a soccer net at the high school's sports complex.

Munster High School Resource Officer Brad Riemerts and Community Service Officers Kim Nordhoff and Holly Chalos cut the net to free the owl, which was then kindly transported by Munster resident Laura Stuart to Humane Indiana.

Their caring staff carefully untangled the net from the owl's wing and will soon be releasing him back into nature.  Thank you to everyone for working together to help out this owl today!
