On March 3rd, students at St. Paul’s, Eads, Elliott, and Frank Hammond Elementary School held a Caps for K-9’s fundraiser to benefit our police department’s K-9 Unit. Students who donated $1 that morning were able to wear a hat during the school day. Many students participated.
In addition, the entire K-9 Unit (Vader, Lucy, and Skye) visited each of those schools and walked the hallways with their handlers while they were lined with the students. Students were able to see our dogs up close with some interacting with them as they arrived for school as well.

In addition, St. Paul’s Lutheran School also held a Penny War throughout that week which raised an additional $1,200 for the K-9 Unit. Thank you very much to all of these schools for your great support
