Mulberry Street: A Billy Joel tribute was a rockin’ musical event at Theater at the Center recently. Billy Joel is one of my favorite singer/songwriters, and his music really gets me in a dancing mood! Great music plus terrific musicians equals a perfect evening.
While Mulberry Street played lots of the hits from Billy Joel’s extensive list, songs like My Life, Just the Way You Are, New York State of Mind, Only the Good Die Young, It’s Still Rock and Roll to Me, and, of course, Piano Man drew the loudest and longest applause.
Mulberry Street is led by Piano Man/Vocalist, Thomas Linsk. The band includes Michael Fiorino (Bass Guitar), Chuck Schwartz (Drums), Cash Michaels (Saxophones & Keyboard), Tommy Vitacco (Guitar) and Terry Peeples (Percussion). Everyone of them is a talented soloist as well. I loved watching a group of talented musicians do their thing.
