This is Monster Jam! Our favorite trucks, Grave Digger (Winston), El Toro Loco (Me) and ANY girl driver (Maeve) put on an amazing show for us. The evening was filled with tons of energy.
The drivers have added a layer of excitement in the two-wheel category. Usually, they are front and back tire tricks, but there were two drivers who used two side wheels which was impressive to see. Three trucks flipped and I am happy to say no one was injured.
The FMX crew made their post half-time appearance with a ton of adrenaline pumping flips and tricks.
The Allstate Arena is a concert and hockey venue, and the driving area is tight making this show more complicated for the drivers than usual. This event was longer than normal, I am wondering if it is related to the number of flipped trucks.
The crowd has grown tremendously over the years, so plan to leave a little earlier than you think you should for parking. Lines to get in can be long, but there are many available doors.
This was the first Monster Jam that I did not have to carry any bags of any kind. They do inspect bags and purses. I used to have schlep in a diaper bag, purse and a bag of ear covers, but my review crew has gained a lot of independence in the last couple years.
Allstate Arena is cashless so plan on bringing a card for purchases. Parking is cash only. Next show event is February 28 – March 2, and I already have it on my calendar.
