In a seasonal twist on the adage, “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure,” Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament will be collecting post-Halloween Jack O’ Lanterns for use in its Knights’ combat training. For every past-peak pumpkin turned in at the Schaumburg Castle between Nov. 1 and Nov. 4, in anticipation of National Pumpkin Destruction Day on Nov. 6, Medieval Times will reward the bearer with a 25 percent-off voucher for an adult ticket to the popular entertainment venue. Additionally, for the first 100 pumpkins received, Medieval Times will donate a complimentary ticket to Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago.
Ready-to-be-discarded pumpkins can be turned in for discount ticket vouchers at the Medieval Times management office, 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Thursday. Vouchers are valid for all performances thru the end of December 2021. Vouchers may not be used in conjunction with any other promotional offer and are not valid on prior purchases.
Located just off I-90 in Schaumburg, Ill., Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament is the only entertainment venue of its type in the Midwest. The colossal stone castle beckons guests of all ages to enjoy an adrenaline-charged live jousting tournament, filled with awe-inspiring horsemanship and falconry, knights engaged in rousing displays of strength and skill, and a four-course feast fit for a king.
