Seatbelts, everyone! Marriott Theatre for Young Audiences kicks off its remarkable children’s theatre season, part of Marriott Theatre’s 50th anniversary, with the musical adaptation of one of the most beloved children's books of all time, THE MAGIC SCHOOL BUS: LOST IN THE SOLAR SYSTEM, running February 21 through March 29, 2025, located at 10 Marriott Drive, Lincolnshire, IL. This one-hour musical journey is directed and choreographed by Associate Artistic Director Katie Johannigman, with musical direction by Ellie Kahn. Each performance will be followed by a question-and-answer session with the cast.

“We are so excited to bring The Magic School Bus to the Marriott stage this spring,” said director, Katie Johannigman. “Families of all ages will hop aboard this iconic and inventive flying bus as we blast off into space, reuniting with the beloved Ms. Frizzle and her quirky students from the classic '90s books and TV show, all while singing and dancing our way through a cosmic adventure filled with fun and learning.”

When the class gets lost en route to the planetarium, Ms. Frizzle saves the day by blasting into outer space for an epic interplanetary field trip. Amidst the excitement, old and new rivalries emerge, challenging the students to unite or face being lost in the solar system forever. Fans of all generations are invited to THE MAGIC SCHOOL BUS: LOST IN THE SOLAR SYSTEM for this new musical adaptation inspired by the original Scholastic book series beloved by so many.

Smith as “Ms. Frizzle,” Rachael Armstrong as “Wanda,” Emily Ann Brooks as “Janet,” Will Koski as “Arnold,” Garrett Lutz as “Ralphie,” and Tommy Rivera-Vega as “Carlos;with  understudies Crystal Claros, Madison Kauffman, Melody Murray, and Ty Shay.
