Lubeznik Center for the Arts (LCA) presents "Hearts On Fire Sale!" on Saturday, February 10, from 6:30-8:30 PM central.
Looking for a unique way to celebrate Valentine’s Day? On Saturday, Feb. 10, Lubeznik Center for the Arts brings you an exclusive evening of art, wine and food with the “Hearts On Fire Sale!” Sponsored by Café Farina and Farnia’s Supper Club, who will be providing hearty appetizers and wines, this fundraising event features 50 artworks, available for purchase at well below market prices.
“If you love great food, wine and art this event is for you!” says Janet Bloch, executive Director of Lubeznik Center. “Some of the works are mid-century gems donated by homeowners in Beverly Shores and Long Beach. One of our donors is an international art appraiser who recently moved, and we are fortunate that she donated artworks in order to support the work LCA does in the community.”
LCA also received many pieces that hung in the home of June and Bud Ruby, who lived on Kenwood Drive in Edgewood. The home was designed in the early 1960’s by Ken Fryer and decorated by designer Ben Davidson. In addition, there are poster pieces, authentic African masks and contemporary works.
Work is priced from $25 to $500. All proceeds benefit LCA programs. The event takes place between 6:30 – 8:30 PM, but for those who want first dibs, there are VIP tickets available. Admission $100. $150 VIP tickets get early access and a sparkling treat at 5:30 PM central.
