Indiana State Police Superintendent Douglas G. Carter recently announced the promotion of Trooper Bobbie (Butch) J. Crowder to the rank of corporal. Crowder will serve as district duty officer for the Lowell Post.
Corporal Crowder graduated from Portage High School in Portage, Indiana in 1996. He was selected to attend the 75th Indiana State Police Academy in 2015 and was subsequently assigned to the Lowell District where he has patrolled Lake, Newton, Jasper, Porter and LaPorte Counties until his promotion to Corporal.
Crowder is also a background investigator.
