Let's CELEBRATE Child Passenger Safety Month! 🥳🎉

This is Child Passenger Safety Week (September 20-26) 

Take action this September! Join us at one of our free Car Seat Safety Event near YOU to get expert help with installation, learn safety tips, and make sure your car seat is keeping your child as safe as possible.

• Find the right seat. When buying a car seat, a child’s age, weight, and height should all be taken into account to ensure the safety harness fits properly. For More Information: safercar.gov/therightseat 

• Install the car seat properly. Installing a car seat should be done correct for it to be effective. 

• Beware of car seat hazards. Many toddlers resist the car seat. They’ll try to wiggle or slide out of their seat or push the seat belt over their head. This distracts you as the driver and places your child in danger. A distracted driver is more likely to cause a crash and a child that isn’t secure in their car seat can be seriously injured or killed. 

• Set the right example by buckling-up yourself. Children like to copy their parent’ behavior. If you have a child that objects to being strapped in, showing them that you as parents also buckle up can help to persuade them. Older siblings can also be positive examples as well.
