The Legendary Patsy Cline Show starring Amberley Beatty captured the iconic voice of the beloved country singer. Beatty took the stage at Theatre at the Center on June 29th, beginning the show dressed in country western attire and ending the show in an elegant evening gown.
Her dance steps on stage and her engagement with the audience throughout the theater gave the show energy. However, the spotlight seemed to have a hard time keeping up with her.
Toward the end of the show, Beatty gave some very brief details about Patsy Cline’s life story. Audience members not familiar with Patsy Cline’s biography would have benefitted from a little more details about her life. Also, providing some history behind some of the songs would have made for a more meaningful performance.

The show was packed with over 30 Patsy Cline hits. Some of the most popular tunes included: “Blue Moon,” “Crazy,” “San Antonio Rose,” “Faded Love,” “She’s Got You,” “Back in Baby’s Arms,” “Sweet Dreams,” and the audience favorite, “Always.” The appreciative audience responded to the concert with a standing ovation worthy of her amazing voice.
