Legacy Foundation’s Board of Directors announces Kelly Anoe as the Foundation’s sixth President and CEO. The announcement was made Friday evening during Legacy Foundation’s 30th Anniversary Celebration. Kelly succeeds Carolyn Saxton, who announced her retirement earlier this year and celebrated her last day at the anniversary event.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors, we are thrilled to appoint Kelly as the Foundation’s newest President and CEO,” said Carey Yukich, Legacy Foundation Board Chair. “This new chapter is an exciting time for the Foundation. Kelly has been a valued colleague as we have worked to advance our vision of a more vibrant and inclusive Lake County.”

Kelly joined Legacy Foundation in 2014, and in 2016, she was promoted to Vice President. Kelly has been responsible for overseeing grantmaking and scholarships, community engagement and leadership, and strategic initiatives of the community foundation.

“I am extremely honored to have the opportunity to lead Legacy Foundation,” said Kelly Anoe. “I look forward to continuing to work with the board and staff to help Legacy Foundation achieve its mission and grow its impact for all of Lake County.”

Prior to joining Legacy Foundation in 2014, Kelly spent her career in nonprofit direct services, development, and leadership roles. Kelly has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Master’s in Business Administration from Purdue Northwest, and is a Certified Fundraising Executive.
